" name="description">The comprehensive predictor examination results reveal an adjusted individual total score of 63.3%, 3.3% lower than the national mean. Scores in the major content areas were highest in basic care and comfort, with maximum points, and lowest in physiological adaptations, with a score of 46.2%. Other areas with relatively higher scores were safety and infection control, health promotion and maintenance, and pharmacological and parental therapies. Areas marked for improvement include management of care, safety and infection control, health promotion and maintenance, psychological integrity, pharmacological and parental therapies, and reduction of risk potential.
Moving forward, I intend to utilize several strategies to improve areas that scored poorly per the predictor results while working to maintain areas where I scored well. By diversifying my approach to learning concepts under areas that require improvement, I can effectively ensure that I grasp these contents, thereby enhancing my chances of success. In this regard, I plan to utilize online tutorials that detail concepts on psychological adaptation, such as fetal assessment during labor, management of care concepts such as prioritization of care, and handling grief and loss to bolster my knowledge of psychosocial integrity. I also plan to involve my peers in group discussions to evaluate my health promotion and maintenance knowledge to ensure that I fasten my grip on these concepts. The discussion forums will also bolster my knowledge of basic comfort and care, thus ensuring that I maintain my grip on the topic. I also intend to allocate more time to my studies to help me cover more areas. As Dudley & Burden (2019) report, expanding learning time helps learners cover more content in their studies and result in significant improvements in their results. These strategies will help me improve on my weaknesses and ensure I maintain a grip on my strength areas.
